Benefits
- The best visual appearance of any terrain
mesh scenery for the UK and Ireland. Check the testimonials, or judge for yourself from the
demo.
- Optimal performance. Minimal impact on frame
rates. Visual Flight terrain mesh scenery has been tested successfully on a
Pentium II 233 MHz system - well below the minimum spec for FS2002!
- Accurate terrain clearance elevations.
Elevations of all major hills and mountains are more accurate than in any
other terrain mesh scenery - very important for serious flight simulator
pilots.
- An end to airport anomalies! With
version 2, airports are no longer prone to appearing surrounded by cliffs - a problem which afflicts most other add-on terrain mesh
scenery.
- Updates. Version 2,
which is a significant advance on version 1, was released approximately 6
weeks after version 1 as a free download to version 1 users. Further improvements are already in the
pipeline. Updates on CD are subject to a small charge.
- Compatibility. Compatible with all Landclass
sceneries, replacement terrain textures, and all
well-designed airport scenery such as JustFlight Great Britain &
Ireland, and UK2000 airports scenery. Our policy is to work with add-on scenery designers to achieve
maximum compatibility for Visual Flight users.
- Optimal file sizes. Visual Flight quality
standards ensure that the optimal file sizes are used for the scenery.
Scenery files are no larger than necessary to contain the mesh information
or to meet other design criteria. This results in manageable file sizes without
detail being compromised.
- Great support and advice. Unquestionably the
best support for any add-on mesh scenery. Read what people
have said about Visual Flight support.
Please feel free to email info@visualflight.co.uk
if you have any questions.
Because of inaccuracies in the default FS2002 scenery, some
lakes and lochs may appear raised above or sunk into the surrounding
terrain. This is a known problem affecting all add-on mesh
sceneries, but should be addressed in a future release of the Visual Flight
scenery.
Areas which are relatively flat in real-life may not benefit as
greatly as other areas from the addition of the Visual Flight scenery.

On the forums
"I find the quality and depiction of UK elevations to be accurately portrayed by this mesh!
"This should end any confusion as to which mesh to get.
"Nothing is more frustrating than have the area where you live, missing that
hill you see out of your window.
"I went to Glasson Dock, looked north towards the lake district and it matched
a real life photo graph I took at the same spot!
"Nice work."
