I am investigating the possibility of disclosure of the radio Caroline North Recordings made by The M.O.D. in the 1960's. They will now be more than the mandatory thirty years old, and available as freedom of information allows them to be. Can anyone provide information regarding access to the stored tapes? I know that the Radio Caroline North station was recorded at the Lancashire base at Inskip 24/7 for national security reasons, and that such archived material does not get destroyed. Any help would be appreciated. Chris.

Hi,

Have you tried to contact the MoD records office?

http://www.mod.uk/DefenceInternet/ContactUs/

If the records are definitely unsealed, then they should be able to locate them.

Best regards,
Robin.
