Hi all,
Apologies if this is an obvious question, been searching all over the net and can't find an answer
Got the VFR rules scenery volume one and four dvd, installed the two areas i wanted all fine and good, followed the instructions to the letter, they appear in the scenery libary in Fs2004 as priority 1,2,3, and 4, yet when i load the simulation, its just the standard scenery, there has got to be something obvious im missing. Made sure that all the scenery in the scenery libary is enabled with the little tick, and tried searching for the airport to start from in the optional check box thing
Any help would be greatly appreaciated!
Thanks |

I'm guessing that you have GenerationX scenery [4 off DVD's] which is designed for use with FSX and not FS9. HTH.

Hello Maurice. Nice to see you again.
Surely there are only three GenX areas?

Hello Dennis,
Good to see you too my friend. I have been reading here every day - nobody can tell how long it takes to read the forums but typing is still a loooong and sloooow effort - but getting better.
There are just 3 prime areas of GenX with 4 off DVD's per Volume, do remember though that GenX Volume 4 is the Western Isles only 1 DVD in that "Box".
I believe the OP is trying to use GenX [4 off DVD's] in FS9 - could just as easy be wrong though .
Take Care Dennis and the compliments of the season to you and all the "Sunday VFR Crew". I *WILL* get back somewhen !!!

Take it easy Maurice. We can wait.
Getting back to the original question. If the VFR Scenery is at positions 1,2,3,4, try moving them to a higher number.
The higher numbers are where they should reside, and if I remember correctly, the installer usually puts them there.
Try looking through these forums D_F, there is a lot of information out there.
Dennis.
