when I fly ILS approaches I use the GPS to select the nav radio frequency - I don't want to pause the sim to look at the map to get the info; e.g. runway 27r heathrow 110.30 with a course 272. Is there any way of finding this course from the gps? Currently I just set 270 and adjust manually on approach...

Should you not be following the approach plates

Available from AIS website or http://fly.dsc.net/u/Charts

Lots of other stuff for simmers there as well(I am assuming you were refering to sim flying not real)

Apart from just looking at my route, I have found the sim GPS to be rather confusing.
Is there a simple guide (perhaps in PC Pilot) I could read, or perhaps even a video.
