If you're fed up with the drab and gloomy textures provided by FS2002's Winter lighting, try switching to daytime in Summer - it makes a big difference to the appearance of the photographic scenery, and it could just get rid of those Winter blues!
If you're already flying, use the Alt key to access the FS2002 menu, then choose World, Time & Season.... Choose Day and Summer, then click OK.
If you're in the FS2002 welcome screen, select CREATE A FLIGHT, then CHANGE under Current Date and Time, Choose Day and Summer, then click OK. When you've selected all your other flight criteria, click FLY NOW!

Does anyone know of a way to alter FS2002 so that the program always starts as July and midday?

Hi ngo,
create your flight using settings you want, time, season, month, airport..give it a name...eg "myflight" save it. Then in "select a flight"..select your saved flight...tick box.."make default" and that should be your opening flight when fs2002 boots up...I think
Regards
